Bridger Barksdale – Bridger is thrilled to be making his debut with Provo Civic Ballet. One of the newest members of the company, Bridger had never danced before being invited to participate in PCB. As soon as he began dancing, it instantly became his favorite thing to do. He is a sophomore at Meridian School.
Quincie Bean – Quincie began her dance training at age 2. In addition to Classical Ballet Academy and Provo Civic Ballet, Quincie has studied in NYC at the Complexions Winter Intensive and the Gelsey Kirkland Summer Intensive. She has been awarded Regional and National recognition and hopes to pursue a career in Contemporary Ballet.
Mikaela Shea Cook – An excellent academic student, Mikaela has trained in dance for 11 years (The Dance Club, Ballet Classique, Academy of Ballet, Classical Ballet Academy). She is looking forward to participating in Youth America Grand Prix and wants to pursue a college degree in dance.
Katie Lynn Harris – Katie is a 4.0 student. She attends school in Mapleton, where she has received high honors in Math and Chinese. She has been dancing for ten years. Her goal is to major in dance and travel the world.
Emma Karen Humiston – Emma has trained with Utah Regional Ballet, Joffrey Ballet (NYC), and Ballet West. She placed 3rd in her school’s division at the 2010 Shakespeare Competition, dancing the Assassin’s Tango as Lady Macbeth. A strong student in biology and science, she hopes to pursue a college education, concentrating on both science and dance.
Madeline Jones – Madeline has been dancing with Classical Ballet Academy since it was founded. She participated in Youth America Grand Prix when she was ten years old. Her dream role is Odette/Odile in Swan Lake and she hopes to someday attend Juilliard. Her goal is to dance professionally, followed by a career in teaching dance.
Tiare Marie Keeno – Tiare has already received a full tuition scholarship to University of the Arts in Philadelphia upon graduation this year. She has been awarded Miss Utah’s Outstanding Teen 2011, 3rd place at YAGP Nationals, and Silver Medalist at World Ballet Competition. She has held three national titles with NYCDA and has also danced as Clara in The Rockettes Christmas Show in New York. Her goal is to pursue a professional career in contemporary ballet and eventually become a choreographer.
Emily Susan Kessinger – Emily is one of the youngest members of Provo Civic Ballet. She is an honors student and has been dancing since she was 5 years old. She would like to dance professionally with Ballet West, and feels she would be a serious contender on “So You Think You Can Dance”.
Alexa Knutzen – Alexa has been training in dance nearly 10 years. Recent roles include Desdemona in Pioneer Legacy and ensemble in The Nutcracker. She has always wanted to be a professional dancer and hopes to someday train at Julliard. After a successful dance career, she hopes to open her own dance studio.
Elizabeth McKnight – Elizabeth has trained with several ballet schools in Utah County over the last eleven years. She was awarded 2nd place in the Senior Contemporary Division for Youth America Grand Prix. Favorite past roles include the title roles in Cinderella and Firebird, and Sugar Plum Fairy and Spanish sololist in The Nutcracker. Elizabeth is planning to major in dance and nursing, and to pursue a professional career in dance.
Madison Monson – Madison is a 4.0 Honors Student in Springville. She began dancing at age 2, and competed with Dance Showcase Company until age 9. Past roles include: Witch (Hansel and Gretel) and Arabian Dancer (The Nutcracker). Madison has many goals, including graduating high school with high honors, attending college, raising a family, and teaching dance.
Carissa Marie Moser – Before coming to Classical Ballet Academy, Carissa trained with Academy of Ballet (7 years) and Atlanta Ballet (summer intensive). She was awarded the USAA Science Award, and is a seven-time recipient of the Student of the Month Award. She hopes to attend Brigham Young University and earn a degree in dance.
Kazlyn Nielsen – Kazlyn has trained with several professional ballet programs, including Burklyn Ballet Theatre, Ballet West, and Pacific Northwest Ballet. She has placed at Youth America Grand Prix competitions, including being accepted into YAGP Finals in New York. She has been accepted into the Ballet West trainee program this season while dancing with Provo Civic Ballet. Her goals are to dance professionally and become a mother.
Bronwen Marie Partridge – Bronwen is a serious academic student, enrolled in all Honors and AP classes, and has maintained a 4.0 GPA since 7th grade. Also a gifted photographer, her work has won local recognition, including second place in the Reflections Competition. She has been dancing for seven years. Favorite roles include: The Mouse Queen (The Nutcracker), Friend/Candy Cane (Hansel and Gretel), Spanish soloist and Chinese soloist (The Nutcracker). She was recently awarded first place in the Reflections Competition at the district level for her original choreographic work, “Not Myself.” Her goal and dream job is to be a dancer in Disneyland.
Mendy Nicole Peacock – Mendy currently holds the title of Spanish Fork’s Distinguished Young Woman. Her choreography has been chosen to represent Maple Mountain Dance Company and Classical Ballet Academy. Mendy has competed at New York City Dance Alliance, LA Dance Magic and Youth America Grand Prix. Past roles include Swanhilda (Coppelia) and the Mouse Queen (The Nutcracker). Mendy plans to major in dance with an emphasis in choreography, followed by a career teaching and choreographing.
Alyssa Heather Robinson – Alyssa has been dancing for eleven years (Academy of Ballet, Classical Ballet Academy). She participated in Youth America Grand Prix two years in a row. Also a talented vocalist, Alyssa received a superior rating for her solo performance at the UHSAA State Solo and Ensemble Festival. Alyssa plans to pursue a career in Music Dance Theater.
Jessica Dee Romney – Jessica has studied ballet, tap and jazz (Larae Thackery’s, Dance Impressions, C&C Ballet Academy, Classical Ballet Academy, Burklyn Ballet Summer Intensive) and has been a member of Provo Civic Ballet for two years. Jessica’s diverse interests have won her recognition in a variety of areas, including finalist status in History, Geography and Spelling competitions. She would like to join a contemporary ballet company and pursue a career in exercise sciences as a physical therapist.
Abigail Ray Roush – Abby began her dance training in the creative dance program at BYU, at the age of four. Four years later, she came to Classical Ballet Academy. Abby placed 2nd in the contemporary category at Youth America Grand Prix, has danced the role of the Snow Queen (The Nutcracker) and numerous ensemble roles in The Nutcracker, Goldilocks and Hansel and Gretel. Abby hopes to attend Juilliard and attain a position with the New York City Ballet.
Chloë Thompson – Chloë has been training with Classical Ballet Academy since she was 10 years old. Two years ago, she danced the role of Gretel in Lindsay Folkman’s contemporary Hansel and Gretel. A current honors student, Chloë plans to pursue a college degree in dance and hopes to one day dance professionally in New York.
